Today we sat down with James and asked him some life questions...
What made you want to be a tattoo artist?
From a young age I had always been fascinated by tattoos. I was into the arts as well and wanted to pursue a career in either music or art. When I was about 12 or 13 I saw my first episode of Miami Ink and realized that could be a career so the story sort of wrote itself from that point on.
Do you have a favorite style you want to pursue?
I focus more on American Traditional and Japanese styles. American traditional is bold and classic. The style allows you to simplify a concept and have it read for what it is. Japanese is another timeless style that is one of the hardest to do. They mastered composition and layout. I find it beautiful and powerful. Both are rich in history yet versatile to meet any needs.
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my wife and son. Getting together with family, boating, or playing Magic the Gathering
How many pets do you have and names?

Tell me a little about your immediate family…
My immediate family is my wife, KC, and my son, JR.
KC is a preschool teacher and has a green thumb for house plants. She is quirky and makes me strive to be a better person daily.
JR is three and is vibrant, smart, and adorable. He loves Mario and riding his tractor around.
